Angelique Johnson wants to bring power back to the people and ensure every resident’s voice is heard.

Having lived and worked in Inglewood for most of her life, she knows the community’s needs and concerns intimately.

With a strong record in community organizing on issues like fair wages, healthcare access, and labor rights, she brings the grassroots support and policy expertise needed for effective leadership.

Since the 1970s, Angelique Johnson was raised in Inglewood as a student of Morningside High School and a graduate of St. Mary's Academy.

Throughout her life, She has been committed to working within the community. As a golf instructor, golf coach, and golf entertainment personality, Angelique has designed golf programs around the community for children to learn and appreciate golf in order to promote life lessons, such as discipline and determination to help them throughout their lives.

As a member of the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA), She has studied at the National Education Program. As children have been her focus, she was an Inglewood Girl Scout Troop Mom. As a former member of the SEIU, She is someone who understands the importance of unions and the workers who need to be valued, because unions are the fabric of a healthy community.

Angelique cares about each person in her community, which means she would provide the district a fair and balanced representation. Her goal is to work with you and for you to build a vibrant community into a brighter, dynamic future.

Running for City Council in District 4, Angelique is focused on inclusive leadership that listens to every voice and prioritizes the people.
